I got this dorm bed skirt for my daughter who will be going off to college next year, but tested it on my son’s dorm bed (he already has a bed skirt–a different color which he didn’t want to exchange, but was willing to lend his bed for testing purposes).The fit is good on the XL twin bed. There is definitely wiggle room if for some reason the bed is a bit longer or shorter. It can be put on pretty easily and it stays on well.Although if the sun shines from the side of the bed (which would be pretty unusual in a college room layout), there is some shadowing of objects underneath the bed, in what would be a usual layout with a long edge of the bed against a wall, the ivory skirt is thick enough that it completely hides the items under the bed.The microfiber blend is very soft, machine washes/dries very well, and is remarkably wrinkle free.
