The media could not be loaded. We try to buy only organic cotton or silk sheets for the crib. Our toddlers mattress was firm (Newton Baby) so I wanted something that would soften their bed as they got a bit older.- this mattress pad has been washed and dried a few times and still holds its shape;-our toddler seems to sleep deeper;-the mattress cover fits all the way around our Crib Mattress and seems like it could fit a deeper crib mattress;-it fits a Newton Baby crib mattress (important for fast scrolling for size);-it is not overly thick but soft;- it does not seem to make our baby hotter while sleeping.Four star review because the cover of the mattress pad has some sheen to it so not sure it is all organic cotton but for the price it works well.

I am a bedding snob. Only 100% cotton sheets, cotton duvets, down comforters, cotton or soft wool blankets, and an very nice memory foam mattress…. In my perfect bedding ensemble — the mattress pad was always the best I could find – and still a bit of a disappointment. I bought good quality cotton top mattress pads (they are hard to find!) but the thin fabric of the sides shredded or the filling was not very thick or the underside of the pad was made with a non-woven spun product that would pill horribly and then start shredding….This is the best mattress pad I have ever purchased. It has been in constant use since March (6 months now). I’m pulling it off, washing and drying it and putting it back on the bed that night. I am going to purchase another one right now!It keeps the memory foam from being too hot – there is a bit of air circulation between me and the foam. It washes beautifully. It is not too thick and not too thin. It doesn’t creep and work it’s way off the mattress through the week (which was a problem with an almost nice Laura Ashley mattress pad from BB&B). It’s sides are generous enough for my 12″ mattress. It has some extra to tuck under. The sides are polyester/nylon stretchy fabric – like a lady’s slip or underwear. The mattress pad itself is so well made I put it on the bed the other day … as I put on the fitted sheet I noticed an exposed seam on the skirt … and realized I had put it on wrong side out. I had to really look at the underside of it and compare it with the 100% cotton top to figure out which side was the finished side. It looks nicer than other mattress pads even wrong side out!It is 100% cotton top will keep you more comfortable at night than the polyester top of many of the top selling mattress pads on this website – for less money too! I think it is made to last also – at least a decade – easily. As I said I am going to buy it again so I have another one in the laundry rotation. As other mattress pads age out on the sofa bed and the guest bed I will replace them with this brand. I definitely think it is the best quality mattress pad I have ever purchased – or even evaluated for purchase – at upscale department stores and bedding retailers.Happy dreaming! Cynthia

This is a tradition, well-made mattress cover. It fits well and washes up well. Good price for a quality cover.

The reason we got this:We have a three year old King size, low end “pillow top” mattress, and the springs pop on in when you move around. It isn’t really broken down, but I toss and turn on it all night. I got this cover to put a washable barrier between us and the mattress to keep down the dust mites because my allergies bother me at night. (I am also ordering a dust mite proof encasement to go underneath this cover as extra protection.) I wanted to get a cover that was both waterproof and provided a bit of cushion too, the best of both worlds. I also wanted something that is washer and dryer safe.Feature One: Washable and Dryable.I washed it as soon as it arrived. I have a large capacity washer without the tall agitator and it easily fit. The cover has a thin water proof backing layer. I read the reviews before I got the cover, so I knew I had to wash it on COLD and dry it on the LOWEST heat. Then, I let it lay out to dry overnight before putting it on the bed. Washing it did fluff it up a bit too. (Note: It did NOT have a chemical smell before washing.)Feature Two: Provides Some Support. When I got the cover it was very plush, not real thin. It is about the thickness of a normal quilt. Last night was our first night sleeping on it and I didn’t toss and turn even once all night. It provided just enough cushion to the existing “pillow top” to give me the support I needed. It does the job I needed it to do, and it is very nice. It is not a thick topper, and you do not sink into it, but it provides a nice layer of cushion like laying on a thick, hypoallergenic quilt that doesn’t bunch up or shift. It does make a difference in support if you just need a little something.Feature Three: Cloth Stretchy Skirting. The sides are silky and stretchy fabric that allows you to wrap it around a normal mattress with a bit of slack. There would be plenty of room for a mattress topper underneath the cover, and this cover would keep the topper in place. Eventually, in another three years, this mattress may need a topper, and I like knowing that this cover would accommodate one.Feature Four: Not Hot!It was actually a bit cool to sleep on. Without the cover, we get hot at night and sweat. So this cover does make some difference to keep us from getting so hot too. I am sure it is not as cool to sleep on as bamboo, or as soft as a $100 Marriott mattress cover, but with the other features, it was the best choice for us.
