I originally bought this to lay on when on a road trip. It compressed down so much, it did not seem to cushion anything….even with a comforter on top.When I got home, I decided to put it on the bed as it was designed to do.I found that it swallowed me up, and was hard to get out of. I tend to toss and turn a lot in the night, and as most memory foam is…it is very difficult to get a new position. I did not notice any cooling properties. Was way too soft for me, and took it off the next morning.I have since cut a piece for the back of my lazy boy, and is very comfortable for that, and now debating on cutting pieces to put in my car seats for more comfort on longer drives.Update-11/3. This material works Great for pillows. I cut 2 pieces to fit into a pillow case, and had a very good sleep experience with it. Material does not run hot, and is soft yet firm enough to support my big noggin…did nothave to flip & fluff all night to get comfortable.

Love it! I actually purchased 2 toppers. This one, and a pillow top that I have on top of this one. The combination has been a success. My worn out mattress has been given a new life and I no longer wake up sore in the morning. Definitely recommend

Overall, this memory foam is perfect! However, it doesn’t quite look like it’s 4 inches thick. If you prefer something firm, this isn’t for you—it’s very soft and squishy. The smell was a little strong at first, but it airs out once you let it sit for a bit. If you love extra softness, this is a great choice!
