Last night I was so tired and when I lay down in bed I was so ready for a comfortable night of sleep. This caused me to reflect on how things were a couple months ago when just looking at my bed caused anxiety due to the knowledge that sleeping was going to be a painful and uncomfortable experience.Just over 2 months ago I was waking up with shoulder and back pain and dealing with it most of the night every night. Part of that I think is due to age and weight, part to the new bed I purchased a couple years ago. At the time of purchase I made the mistake of getting rid of the memory foam topper that I love, love, loved, not realizing how much it contributed to my sleep comfort. The new mattress was expensive, but not memory foam. Over the course of a couple years that mattress became more and more uncomfortable until I literally dreaded going to bed at night.It was at this point that I decided to purchase this 3″ memory foam topper. The first night using it I couldn’t decide if it was better or not. In fact I kind of felt like it wasn’t going to be any better. After a week though, I was noticeably more comfortable and woke more rested than I have in a long time. Now I once again go to bed looking forward to the comfort and rest of my bed rather than dreading the pain filled night of sleeplessness. I really love this topper, but one thing I would probably do in the future is pick up the 4″ topper instead of the 3″ topper.
