Upon opening there was no smell but after a couple hours I noticed a really strong chemical smell so I am letting it air out in the guest room. It’s been a day and the smell isn’t too strong anymore. It expanded pretty quickly out of the packaging but I’ll give it one more day before I use it in my room. I gave it a quick test when it expanded and it was pretty comfortable and sinks in. It is definitely on the softer side which is what I’m looking for because my mattresses are rock hard so it’ll add some comfort. I am not sure of the cooling feature because I haven’t gotten to sleep on it yet. I will see how it holds up long term.

I bought it for my son he gets hot when he sleeps he said he still gets hot but it’s comfortable to sleep on

The combination of the bed topper and the mattress was a good choice. The bed is so comfortable. It makes me not want to get out of bed. My back doesn’t hurt when I sleep or when I sit up. It was worth the money.
