   Rolls up to the size of a small sleeping bag comparable in size to a self-inflating sleeping pad. It has baffles that are filled with polyester… similar to a sleeping bag. It’s soft with an average thickness of about 1-1/2″, but that does vary as the filling shifts and is compressed, unlike the firmer, but more evenly supported air mattress pad. If you prefer the feeling/support of a soft sleeping bag and the ground is fairly flat, then this does the trick, however, if you want something firmer or the ground is bumpy, then a self-inflating mattress pad would probably work better. I got this for a COT so prefer the softer, bed like feel of this pad. It’s not water resistant. Giving this 4 Stars because some of the baffles could be filled a bit more providing more even support.
