I turn my heated pad on about an hour before I go to bed and turn it up to the max. I could do this 20 minutes before bed and have the same results. This is in the winter months when it -8° My wife is always complaining about how hot she is. So having independent heat controls for each side is perfect! The elastic could be a bit stronger to hold the pad in place a bit better, but it does work well.I only use a weighted blanket on my bed and nothing else on top of me. I like this set up.I turn it down to 1 when I go to bed. If I leave it on anything higher it’s too hot for me and I sweat. But setting 1 for those cold nights is key for me staying warm.

Bought this after moving from Las Vegas to Eastern Washington. Colder winters for sure. Easy install. Love that the connections are at the top so easy to plug into wall. Remote sits on nightstand. We turn on about an hour before bed. The dual controls are awesome. My setting is 2. On really cold spells I start it at 8 and when I get in bed turn it down to 2. The amazing warmth is so soothing, then gradually it gets down to the 2. You could never sleep at the high setting. People complained about the default at 8 but just click and put it down to the setting you want. I am a little worried about washing and I haven’t seen anyone review about that. This product isn’t available now and if I wash it and it malfunctions I’ll be really sad.

I really don’t normally write reviews but this is worth it. I replaced my old one which had the cord attachment at the bottom and you had to run cords all the way up under the bed on each side to plug in! Cords all over! This one has the attachments at the top sides independent of each other. What a great design! Just plug in to the bed and plug in to the wall separately on each side! No more cords all over! Very nice quality material and nicely cushioned and you feel no wires. Controller easy to use, even in the dark. Very very happy with this purchase.

This is very comfortable and the heat functions properly on both sides of the king mattress pad. One thing I noticed right away while putting it on is that it is big enough to fit completely around the corners of the king bed. Some fitted sheets and mattress pads are a tight squeeze but this went all the way around all 4 edges with ease. It was super simple to get on the bed and plug in. Good quality. Heated mattress pads always tend not to get as hot as heated blankets, which is a bit of a bummer. This one is no different. It goes up to 8 for heat which is nice and warm, but not as hot as a heated blanket. Still, it’s great quality and I’m very happy with my purchase so far.
