This is not like the one in the store although it is same brand and exact name/description as box in store. The in store item was 1 piece. This comes as 2.- 1 the memory foam and the other the traditional mattress topper. This topper is a life changer. We are sleeping better than we have in ages. Like sleeping on clouds. We are not flipping as much at night. Only downside, we don’t want to get out of bed. I was really wanting to add height to our bed and it definitely does that. I like the height, but if you’re not looking for that, this won’t work for you. It took shape right away- didn’t require fluffing or anything. The memory foam part is slightly too big for the bed. It hangs over the edge. The mattress top size is fine. It works with my extra thick sheets-not sure how it will work with my slightly less deep sheets. Not sure why the foam section is a different size than the pad piece. I usually avoid memory foam because of odor and while there is some, it is not bad and you’re not laying directly on top of the memory foam. I am fairly sure that as mild as the smell it is, it will dissipate quickly. While this is different than actual product sold in stores- in stores price was $500+ and this price was $175 with free shipping. Another likely advantage of it being 2 pieces is easier cleaning and more flexibility with use. I put my thinner previous mattress top between the 2 to keep the memory foam clean as it cannot be washer cleaned and that also keeps us farther from the actual memory foam odor/chemicals. This should help with the longevity.
