After having purchased foam mattress toppers of varying thicknesses and quality over the years, I am soooooo pleased with this purchase! This beats the environmentally destructive foam toppers in several ways….#1, it’s almost entirely made of sustainable, natural materials. If it ever is thrown out, it will compost instead of stay in a landfill for years. It is mainly cotton and down. I’m additionally pleased that the down is of higher quality, so it doesn’t poke out. There are also four elastic corner holders; not sure of the material composition of the elastics, but they appear to be natural rubber elastic.#2 Unlike the foam toppers, it doesn’t overheat; yet, it also keeps you warm and cozy on chilly nights.#3 Comes with corner elastics attached. They seem to be attached very well, and all the seams are sewn evenly and tightly.#4 Obviously not treated with a bunch of chemicals. When I pulled it out of the packaging, I expected the sharp chemical smell of typically manufactured items. With the foam toppers, the smell lingers for days! However, this mattress topper had no nasty smell at all and was able to go right on the mattress. I’m in an RV, so this was a big deal!#5 No waiting for hours for the mattress to expand. With the foam toppers, the thicker the topper, the longer you have to wait after you’ve unboxed it for full expansion. With this topper, there was no waiting at all. I just fluffed it a little and put it right on my bed.#6 Much, much easier to move than the foam toppers! I can easily move this to vacuum my mattress and inspect the topper, and then put it back without much effort at all. Doing this monthly task with a foam topper was hard!I’m very, very happy with this purchase. ~THC
