This is a great product, but beware there are no lights. So if you want to add lighting for a nightstand like many of the new ones have, you'll have to get your own LED strip and use a power source to do it. This was for my 7 year old's room, primarily to have his alarm clock and a place to charge his laptop and headphones that he uses for school/homework. The assembly took about an hour with one person doing it, instructions were clear and not difficult to follow. The unit is sturdy and well made and looks wonderful. The door can be attached as both right and left opening. A few downsides:
1. The knob/screw combo did not fit perfectly, so I had to get another screw from my local hardware store. Super cheap easy and fix, but annoying that I couldn't' complete the set up in one sitting.
2. No lights, as mentioned
3. Cords are unsightly if you have many things charging. I would prefer a slide out drawer, that keeps cords concealed. By itself, its aesthetically pleasing , but once you have cords attached, which is the main functionality of this item, the cords are very visible.
