   My husband and I bought a king bed about eight years ago and it’s incredibly comfortable. Since we’ve had it for awhile and we obviously get older every year, we occasionally have some back pain from sleeping in strange positions. My husband, in particular, has woken up in so much back pain so I finally decided to look into foam mattress toppers. I did a lot of research on what kinds are best and narrowed it down to this one and another. In the end, I purchased this one because of the overall percentage of positive reviews, the price, and the fact that it’s a two-inch versus a three-inch mattress topper.This mattress topper is made of foam and has gel swirl. It’s an aqua blue color with different shades of blue mixed in. I didn’t receive any packaging information with mine but the product description page states it’s made in the USA. It measures two inches thick exactly.When it arrived, it was vacuum-sealed in a plastic wrap type of packaging. It’s not particularly heavy, especially since it’s wrapped up and looks like a giant rolled sleeping bag. I unwrapped it and immediately moved it into our bedroom since it starts expanding right away like a Chia pet. If you want to make it easy on yourself, I suggest bringing it directly into your bedroom to unwrap it and let it expand there. Once it’s expanded, it’s big and would be awkward to move around.It took a few minutes to “grow” and then I moved it onto our mattress. It fits perfectly! I was unsure of how it would fit with our sheets but it seems to work well. On top of our mattress, we have this mattress topper, then a mattress pad, our sheets and everything fits just fine. I don’t have to yank our sheets down at all to make them fit! Before I put our sheets back on our bed, I felt this mattress topper and it’s cool to the touch. It has a new, but not unpleasant, smell so I let it air out for several hours before making the bed.Fast forward to the following morning. I recall laying down and feeling as though I had just landed on a big, puffy cloud, though I really can’t say for sure since I’ve never sat on a cloud (has anyone, really?). Anyway, it was super comfortable and I sighed with bliss. I woke up the next morning and realized I had slept through the whole night! My husband even commented that after just one night, his back felt 50% better. Since then, we continue to sleep very well (not including when our kids wake us up) and I really look forward to going to bed!We’ve had this mattress topper for a month now and it’s working amazingly for us! We both love it and it’s so comfortable. I’m glad we decided to spend a bit more money to get this one because it’s been very beneficial for both of us. It fits well with our sheets so we didn’t have to buy special deep sheets and it helps us get better sleep at night. Paired with my king-sized shredded bamboo pillow, sleeping on this mattress topper has become one of my favorite activities! If you are looking into buying a mattress topper for your bed, I highly recommend this one! It’s a good price, is extremely comfortable, and is holding up well so far. If my opinion of this mattress topper changes as we continue to use it, I will update this review and change my star rating accordingly. Until then, I give this product five stars and urge you to invest in one for a good night’s sleep!

   BACKSTORY: I have a 22 year old king size mattress and I have a relatively decent pillowtop mattress topper on it. If this was a queen it would be super saggy in the middle, but since it’s a king, it has a dual box spring which has resulted in a hump running down the middle of the bed. I spent a little too much on Xmas, so I couldn’t get an actual memory foam mattress. I decided to get something relatively cheap as a topper to last me 6 months or so.Ok people, I am so excited to go to sleep tonight!! As with many of the reviewers here, I was crazy nervous buying one of these online and especially THIS one as it is literally one of the less expensive ones on amazon. I kept having the argument asking – is this the deal of the century or is this gonna be one of those internet purchases where you get what you pay for? After reading all the reviews for this one like 5 times, I ignored my anxiety and bought it. OMG!! Got the 2inch king size topper and within minutes of unwrapping it, it was completely flat and true to size. NO ODOR AT ALL! I’m posting photos of it in the box to it flat on the bed. (Took less than 10 minutes btw) As far as firmness goes, this is NOT the topper for people who are looking for a super firm memory foam. It is definitely plush and cushy, which is exactly what I was looking for, so YAY! I put this on top of the pillow top mattress topper and my deep pocket sheets fit perfectly. I’ll give an update in a day, a week and then again in a month and let y’all know if I’m still in love with my 75.00 purchase after sleeping on it for an extended period of time.FYI: Paid full price, no freebies here.UPDATE NIGHT 1:I’ll address the “cooling” aspect first. I did notice it was cool to the touch when I laid down on it without sheets. However, it doesn’t really transfer once the sheets are on. This isn’t really a problem for me since I’m usually always cold plus I keep my house at 60-65 in winter and 68-70 in summer. As far as the “hump” in the middle goes that I mentioned at the beginning…the bottom side of the topper has absorbed it and now the top side is completely level!! Sooo happy! Finally, I’m a stomach sleeper and usually lay on one of my arms under my pillow. Most nights my arm “falls asleep” and goes numb. Not last night! So merry Xmas to me!!UPDATE: NIGHT NINE:I am just as happy with my purchase now as I was the first night. I forgot to mention that I have a big lovable pooch that likes to toss and turn. Usually I would wake every time she would move. Not anymore! There is no motion transfer (or at least very little) and the only time she wakes me up now is when her snoring gets outta control!! As I wrote before, the is NOT the topper for someone looking for super firm and when it comes time for me to buy an actual memory foam mattress, I’ll probably want something a little firmer myself, but for a temporary fix, it has exceeded my expectations. I’ll post another update in about a month or so. Happy sleeping! 🙂

   I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend; his bed was painful to sleep on prior to getting this. This is a great foam piece – it is not memory foam, but it is comfy. I bought the full XL because it shipped faster than the full, which is what he needed. We cut off the extra. I wasn’t sure what the gel was supposed to do, but based on internet research, the gel is supposed to keep you cooler. It’s swirled in, more like an added dye than what I think the typical cooling gel layer is supposed to do. The swirl’s not consistent, so if it did keep you cooler, it would be based on the random swirling. So, I wouldn’t bet on getting much from the gel. I have a foam topper on my own pricier bed; mine is about 8 years old and was pricier. I think mine is closer to memory foam, I’m not sure. Foams do cause you sleep hotter, but I run cold, so I like that. It’s great in the winter. Anyway, this foam popped up from its rolled size nearly immediately. There was no odor. For the price, I definitely recommend this. It’s improved his bed significantly. The first night we slept using this, I woke up with no body pains – that’s unheard of for his bed! It’s squishy rather than supportive, I think I would say. I’m a side sleeper with some curves, so I need squishy foams to conform to those curves. This does the job.
