decent topper that has added more comfort to my new bed. the down alternative doesnt become compacted & fluffs back up every time. i followed the instructions, shaking the topper for 3 minutes (possibly longer. i didnt time myself & shook it for a while each side), then placing in the dryer on the fluff setting. it did indeed get all fluffy after. the only issue is that i noticed some threads were frayed while i was putting the topper onto my mattress. as far as whether its cooling or not, it doesnt seem to cool, but its also not hot. my sweating at night is about the same whether im using it or not lol
