Great bed at a great price, sturdy, sleek clean lines, good height (not too high for 8’ ceilings). The best thing about this bed are the FLAT ladder rungs. Anyone who has tried to climb a bunk bed on round ladder rungs will tell you that it really kills the feet, and flat rungs are a simple design improvement that makes all the difference. I don’t even know why humanity has not evolved fast enough to eliminate all bunk beds with round ladder rungs – it’s that much of a no-brainer. I can’t speak for wooden beds, but if you are considering a metal bed, do not buy one with round ladder rungs, and this frankly might be your only choice with flat ones. It is worth it for that alone. The only negative about this bed is if you want to avoid days (and I mean days) of pain and agony and tears and meltdowns, pay very close attention to the holes in the diagrams in the instructions. My family members had to take the bed apart THREE times and start over from scratch because three times they ended up at the very end with the holes in the wrong direction, and fixing it meant disassembling the whole thing. Also the cross bars are a huge pain to put into the sideboards without them all falling out. My son called putting this bed together a “modern day torture device.” I think most of the pain could have been avoided, ahem, by reading the directions CLOSELY. So if you’re the kind of person who just looks at the diagram and then thinks you know what to do and doesn’t look at it again until you get to the end, you may find yourself undoing and redoing all the steps multiple times. But if you survive the assembly, it’s a really nice bed.

The bed came in two boxes with out damage. The directions are of little value. The pictures of assembly are good. Bed is well made and sturdy. One outside leg piece was missing two hole inserts into which the bolts were to be screwed. With no “bolt” inserts we had to hold the pieces together with masking tape, until we could drill outside holes with large washers to connect the parts. Because it is in the front, it looks like an add on.Generally, very pleased with the price and sturdy construction. One very good addition with this bed that all others I checked did not have, was flat steps on the ladder and rubber tops are included to make climbing safe and much better for the feet than the others that have only round tubes for steps. This extra feature is enough to purchase this bed over all the others shown on Verizon and other catalogs.I recommend this bed

Assemble took a long time, directions are not really clear. To make it more easier u really need about 3 ppl to make it more time efficient. It fors come in two boxes when shipped. It does hold well though for the kids. It is a tad bit wobbly on top portion but serves purpose.

Be sure to read directions and look at pictures before assembling especially the ladder They are grippers that can be placed on one side of the rungs but my son put it together with the rungs upside down. It’s not a problem for us though as he only uses his top bunk for storage. He enjoys the easy access to his stuff and His mom ( me, I’m his mom), enjoys not having his stuff all over his bedroom floor! Bottom bunk is large enough for his 6’2 frame. I particularly appreciate the support being which runs across the center of the bottom bunk keeping the rails from bowing in the middle, but mainly because it eliminated even the smallest of squeaks and creaking from him moving and rolling over in the bed at night.Nice industrial looking metal frame great for a team boy not too juvenile. Would definitely purchase again.
