Very sturdy and easy to put together. Took me and my mom roughly an hour to assemble. Very space saving and has room for underbed storage. My 11yo(passes for 16yo) has plenty of height room to sit up straight on the bottom bunk. And the ladder steps are the best I’ve seen. Flat with rubber grip covers. Doesn’t hurt your feet when you climb up. Would definitely recommend this product!

Pros: Sturdy, clean, and nice looking for the kids’ room. We had mattresses 9inches high and the top bunk rail still leaves 3-4 inches of rail space for protection. I’m 5’2″ and when I sit up on the mattress on bottom bunk I can almost clear the top bunk. We like the black finish and clean look of the bunk.Cons: It took my husband, 2 kids, and I more than 3 hours to out together. The rods to hold the mattress were difficult to align while fitting the second structural piece to hold them in place. It took 3 people to make it work. The other problem was the top rail. The bolt to the pillar wasn’t aligned to the predrilled hole, and we had to push hard and it still didn’t fit. We found that the instructions should leave off installing the bottom bolt to the rail so the side bolt can be aligned and bolted in first. That fixed the alignment issue but with lots of headache at first. Another problem is missing washers. We had to get some of ours to make do.
