I’m glad that I bought this before changing to a new mattress. After this I don’t need one. It’s very heavy and you need a place to opened because it took like 4 days to get to the size that should have. But it’s extremely comfortable

I have a bed in my back guest room that was originally my parents. It was by a company that made custom adjustable beds with massage. Originally the split mattresses were high end air mattresses, but my mom hated them, and they replaced them with soft memory foam. My mother sometimes made mistakes on what would help her. For instance, she thought condensed chicken soup would settle her stomach not realizing the salt contend did the opposite. So, thinking this would easy her back problems she ended up having to use plywood underneath to get firmer support. My mother is no longer with us, so this is a guest bed today.It was a custom so not quite a split king like many of this design. The custom mattress sizes are expensive to replace, so measured and found that this queen would split into two similar sized custom twins. It worked well although cutting was a little tricky with a razor knife. The 2″ depth is a double-edged sword, it works well for the fitted sheets, but does not provide the thickness I’d like for better support. I love the scent, better than the odor given off by many new mattresses made out of a foam/gel composite. Should work well as a queen size for a traditional bed as well with adjustable base or not. Recommended.
