I did quite a bit of research looking for a floor mat to sleep on, and have been completely delighted with this purchase. That’s right – it’s not my mattress topper, it’s my mattress! I was looking for a firm pad that was not too thick or too thin, and this is just right. I use it on a carpeted floor. Queen sheets fit just fine on it, and I can’t imagine going back to sleeping on a soft bed. I just love it so much. My back feels amazing, my TMJ disorder has improved significantly (I no longer need to wear a night guard), and I sleep incredibly well. Really, I just wish I’d grown up sleeping on something like this instead of a bed. I certainly would have loved it as a kid, and I’m sure I would have had fewer back issues in my life. The only real issue is that it doesn’t insulate, and since I’m in the corner of the house it can get incredibly cold through the winter. I make up for this by using a lot of blankets, sleeping in warm clothes, and not moving around too much in the bed once I’ve created a warm spot. I’m sure I could use some kind of insulating layer below it to help with this problem, I just haven’t looked for anything yet (I’ve gotten fairly used to it).
