I just replaced my mattress with a new one that is 16″ thick. I had a mattress foundation that was the standard 9″ thickness which would have made my bed higher than I wanted. So I replaced that foundation with a 2.5″ thick bunkie board which made the bed height just right. But then the 14″-drop of my bedskirt was too long. So I bought this 8″ drop bedskirt, and it is perfect for my new mattress-bunkie board configuration.
