Unfolds and fluffs up pretty quickly. Super comfortable. I purchased for our RV bunk beds so I had to cut them to fit. Easy to cut with scissors. Only downside is these things stink! I left outside on our covered porch for 2 full days and the smell went away. Overall I’m pleased.

It comes very compressed and is wrapped in a thin white material then encased and vacuum packed in plastic into a roll. There’s a strong scent initially and I found that it didn’t expand as much as I thought it would, but it seems to be 2 inches thick.I was replacing a memory foam topper with finger like projections – that was really soft and about 4″ or more thick, but like all memory foam, would get hot. This one is firmer (and thin), I wasn’t sure how I would like it after the much softer memory foam, but I can sleep on it, not sure about the cooling gel though since I did get hot. From previous experience I use three mattress covers on top of the mattress to help with heat, the last cover is a bamboo rayon cover, I didn’t get as hot as quickly with the previous memory foam but I did get hot eventually.

This is my 3rd mattress topper purchase, this is my last mattress topper also as it’s the best by far, material is great quality, no funny odor and legitimately GREAT comfort, no more back and neck pain when I wake up, the designs support different areas of your body and it’s not too soft and not too firm, you aren’t sinking in and flattening it over time either. Highly recommend if you’re looking for excellent sleep & comfort !!
