This project was a total refurbishment of the existing coachhouse and the erection of an indoor swimming pool to the rear elevation.
This was a very complex construction project from start to finish. Firstly the existing coachhouse had to be stabalised by completely underpinning it . This had to be done with extreme care and attention to the building. Once the coachhouse was stabalised the construction of the rear swimming pool could begin, together with the internal and external refurbishment of the coachhouse.
The internal refurbishment of the coachhouse consisted of a sauna , changing room, shower, downstairs toilet and a double garage. Upstairs we lowered the floors to two different levels one consisting of a bar and bar area and the other a lounge area. Outside the brickwork was restored to its former glory, the old slate tiles were replaced with new welsh slate tiles and all the guttering and downpipes were replaced with cast iron fittings. There was no expense spared even down to the reclaimed yorkstone paving.
The new pool area was then surrounded with brick arches at the clients request and, as the additional pictures show, a stunning pool area was created.
Buildline undertook the whole project from start to completion, including all of the internal finishing, decorating and tiling. Both Buildline and more importantly the Client were very pleased with the end result.
