This project was a total refurbishment of the existing coachhouse and the erection of an indoor swimming pool to the rear elevation. This was a very complex construction project from start to finish. Firstly the existing coachhouse had to be stabalised by completely underpinning it . This had to be done with extreme care and attention to the building. This was a project in Bedford where the clients were after a contemporary finish. The project involved the construction of a rear and side extension and the removal of the existing pebbledash render to be replaced with a smooth render finish. We also removed all the existing concrete from around the house and replaced it with a hardcore base and gravel finish. This part of the garden originally was just plain grass. We then built ten brick piers and placed oak beams on top. The wall at the end was built to look like the entrance to a secret garden. The project was finished off with a clay pavior edging and a diamond pattern between the piers and yorkstone paths. Rear House Extension Marston Bedfordshire
The aim of this project was to open up the existing kitchen and dining room into the new extension to form a large kitchen and living area. To enable this to happen we had to remove the back wall of the house and hide the steel beam so to have a flat ceiling. We also fitted the kitchen which the clients supplied. The aim of this project was to construct an annexe to the rear garden of the existing house for the clients mother. Firstly we had to demolish the existing brick built garden shed. We then built the annexe to the clients specification which was to include a lounge, kitchen, bedroom with fitted wardrobes, wet room including a toilet, basin and pedestal and a walk-in shower. The job took about 8 weeks due to the bad weather during November and December but our priority was to get the roof on as early as possible. This project was to build a rear extension in Luton to incorporate the existing kitchen, a new living area with a vaulted ceiling and two roof lights and a large pair of French doors with sidelights. Originally the existing kitchen was going to be retained but as work progressed we were asked to supply and fit a new kitchen which we did.
